Replacing a boiler or installing a new central heating system is a significant investment for your home, one that done properly can add value as well as comfort and cost savings in the long term.

Getting it right is imperative, and as times move on, so do the regulations governing heating installations.

Current installations require that a specific standard is set, to ensure that targets are met for carbon reduction, fuel efficiency, and safety in the home, so it is important to ensure that your installer understands this and can implement it.

At Newton Heating and Plumbing we take our obligation to the environment seriously and as such hold the "Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating" (Part L). This ensures that the boilers we fit and the system design will always be carefully considered to ensure maximum efficiency and maximum savings for you over its lifetime. Your old boiler and other system components are always recycled.

Boilers consume far more energy than household appliances. In the UK the average dwelling with central heating uses about 23,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy each year, of which about 85% is for heating and hot water. Boilers older than 15 years can be as low as 55% efficient due to older technology and the fact that boilers become less efficient over time.

Put simply, a boiler running at 55% efficiency means that every pound you pay in fuel costs would give you only 55 pence worth of heating! Now consider a condensing boiler of SEDBUK A rating, this boiler would be 91% efficient. Additionally, the cost benefit of controls should not be under-estimated. Upgrading the controls on older heating systems can save up to 18% on energy bills. This can be accomplished simply by adding thermostatic radiator valves and a programmable room thermostat.

Realistically, if your boiler is 15 years old or more, you could be reducing your heating bills by 35-45% and modern boilers are also smaller, quieter, safer, and more reliable.

At Newton Heating and Plumbing we only use the best products and materials and only install quality brands like Vaillant, Worcester, and Baxi, to ensure that you get a reliable boiler that utilises the latest technology.

To ensure that you get the right system for your needs we will assess your current heating system and discuss your current and future requirements. As any plans that you may have such as an extension or en–suite bathroom could impact on the system, it is prudent to consider these factors prior to your installation.

Installation and commissioning is carried out by our experienced Gas SafeRegistered engineers.

We will also advise on enhancements or improvements that will enable greater efficiency on your current system.

Furthermore, at Newton Heating and Plumbing, we understand the importance of a good after-care service. We care about our reputation so, should anything go wrong, we are only a call away. Remember too that in addition to the manufacturers 2 year guarantee on your appliance, we also offer a 2 year guarantee on all installation work.

As recommendations are important to our business you can be sure of our friendly and professional manner, our aim being to offer you a high standard of service that continues even after we have left.

As part of our commitment to you and to ensure continued reliability and efficiency of your boiler, we will notify you when your service is due so you need not worry about remembering yourself – Let us take care of you.

"I've just had a boiler installed and commissioned by a real professional. The job was completed with meticulous attention to detail from start to finish. The boiler was sourced for me at a really good price, the whole process of replacement and installation was clearly outlined step by step and superb explanations were given in response to my many queries – a boon to a non–tech person like me. I was really impressed with the care taken in routing the pipework, drilling through walls, repairing them and leaving everything spotlessly tidy on completion. I was consulted on my wishes at every stage of the job. The boiler is running beautifully at a cost which can only be described as superb value for money. I am really delighted with this job. Thank You"
